Welcome to the Friends of Forest Holme website - keeping you up to date with all our developments, fundraising news and activities.

Friends of Forest Holme is a registered charity which supports Forest Holme. This is a Specialist Palliative Care Unit, which is a department within the Dorset Cancer Centre at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Forest Holme has a strong financial commitment from the NHS to fund the day to day running of the unit. However, it is necessary for us to raise additional funds in order to provide the level of care we feel our patients and their families deserve.

Friends of Forest Holme has its own administration, although hospital staff has an important input to its Board of Trustees.

The aims of the charity are:

• to raise the additional funds needed to enhance the comfort and care to our patients.
• to raise awareness of the work carried out at the unit to the local community.

These can only be achieved with your support and generosity.
